Maggie’s Project Summary Paragraph! By: Maggie Sanks My Project is about using Hydrogen instead of using fossil fuels to make and power different types of things. The American hydrogen Association is working to make things like hydrogen made cell phone chargers, hydrogen powered cars and trucks, and even hydrogen powered planes too without using oil (A Non-renewable Resource). This conserves resources (fossil fuels and non renewable resources), and reduces pollution. It reduces pollution by using hydrogen instead of oil. When you put oil into your vehicle it emits greenhouse gases (Co2 Etc.) and harmful chemicals polluting the atmosphere causing smog, dirty air, and unhealthy living conditions. With all the pollution from factories and cars it goes into the atmosphere causing Cincinnati to be one of the most “cancer-catching” cities in the US. When you put Hydrogen into your vehicle it emits almost no pollution to none at all, eliminating greenhouse gases and decreasing smog. This in a long run causes our area to have healthy air that can be “safer” to breathe. This conserves energy because, when we use up all the oil it will take millions of years to be nature-made again so, by using Hydrogen as an alternative we are not using oil, causing us to save/have more oil and still be able to power/make the things we all need. Although this (hydrogen) sounds great my project (As you can see from my presentation) has a lot of disadvantages to. At the end, I think a Hydrogen based economy would be a reasonable choice for the U.S. causing a healthier environment. This summary is what my project is all about. (Me explaining why I think this concept is a good idea, things about this organization/project, advantages and disadvantages, costs, and how to conserve energy and make an eco-friendly environment.)
